I will not tolerate some of the dog walkers who pass our house to use our trash cans as a receptacle for their dog poop. It is not only against the law, but a nasty habit. It's amazing that neighbors would sneak around and put their dog poop in another neighbor's trash can......Lou Gatti

We're considering getting the Comcast "Triple Play" package that includes TV, Internet & Phone. Wondering if anyone else has that package and/or any experience - good or bad - with the phone service over Comcast Cable.

At the next meeting, people should comment on the new curbing on 35th. St. I realize the need for " traffic calming" but there are several intersections that will have a dangerous margin between cars passing each other in opposite directions. There will also be the problem of vehicles taking a right toward Military Rd. ( tailgate alley ). It remains to be seen, but it looks like the right hand turns will force the car either into the curb or across the center line. There is also the problem with the natural terrain making this a blind right. Sincerely, Lou Gatti, new guy

OK, I'll go second just to see how this works.

We have a very nice civic association/area, but there are several things that could be done to make it better:

1) Please stop at STOP signs, particularly the intersections of Military and Old Glebe, and Dittmar/Old Glebe/Glebe Roads.

2) Please resist the temptation to drive down the middle of the road on Old Glebe to avoid the speed bumps. They're there for a purpose....to encourage you do s-l-o-w d-o-w-n!

3) Please do observe County ordinances relating to cleaning up after your pets and keeping them on leash. There are too many people using the area at the corner of Old Glebe and N. Stafford Streets as a public toilet for their dogs. And yes, we do know who you are!!
